Dr. John's Approach to Care:
Dr. John believes in the body's natural ability to heal once you remove any interference it may have to the healing process. This interference may come in the form of spinal misalignments which can interrupt proper nerve communication to muscles, joints, skin, organs, glands or any other body tissue making the involved tissue dysfunctional. It may also result from a deficiency or lack of certain nutrients the body needs to perform correctly. Interference to healing may also come from too much physical stress on the body as well as from ongoing emotional stress. Dr. John is able to use functional neurological procedures, such as Koren Specific Technique (KST), applied kinesiology and contact reflex analysis to help determine if a person's problem is being caused by their emotional health, biochemical/nutritional health or structural/physical health, and then what to do to assist the body in it's ability to heal or recover from the problem.
Dr. John believes that much of the information needed to help someone comes by simply listening to the individual's concerns and what they can tell you about themselves. The patient can certainly know their own body best. He also believes in evaluating the health of the body in ways that are non-invasive and which enable him to gather all the information needed to resolve a condition that the individual is not able to relay to him themselves by consultation alone, though the information given by the individual is extremely important.
The patient's own personal goals are very important to Dr. John. He desires to be "on the same page" with the individual seeking help in order to establish a teamwork approach to obtain good long-term results.
Dr. John also believes that good communication is very important for good success. He shares a lot of information with each patient about their condition or problem that they are experiencing and how to obtain the best and fastest results.
When it comes to offering the necessary care for an individual, Dr. John's first priority for the patient is to help them get well. For this reason, his professional staff is trained to work with scheduling (time management) and financial issues in order to provide the best possible solution.
Some examples of treatments that Dr. John recommends to our patients include spinal adjustments, extremity adjustments, contact reflex analysis, myofascial release, applied kinesiology procedures, nutritional testing and therapies, spinal disc and nerve root decompression, corrective exercises and physiotherapies like interferrential therapy and intersegmental traction. There is more, but these are examples. Everyone's treatment is tailored specifically for that individual.
Dr. John loves his creator and his family and may occasionally schedule off from the normal clinic hours, ahead of time, to spend extra time with his loved ones. His staff's goal with this is to make it as convenient as possible for each of our patients so they continue to make good forward progress with care.
Dr. John looks forward to the opportunity and privilege to serving you and your loved ones, whether in the clinic, or by a house call visit!
